This year's event will take place as usual at Centennial Park in beautiful Jasper, Alberta on Saturday April 28th. Sanctioned by Rugby Alberta, the tournament is a great way to kickoff the summer of 2012 and get back on the pitch.
As in past years, the format of the tournament will be double knockout guaranteeing everyone two games (the committee may alter the competition structure based on the number of entries but the 2-game minimum will always apply). There will be Men's and Women's Open divisions, with the inclusion of an Old Boys division (over 35). The games will be 7-minute halves, with the finals in each division being 10-minute halves.
The entry fee of $400.00 per team (max. 10 players) includes:

The Tournament will begin at 8:00 am on Saturday, April 28th, 2012. Following the tourney, there will be an awards presentation and a party Saturday night at the Athabasca Hotel. New for 2012: T-shirts will not be included in the tournament entry fee but will be available for sale at the Beer tent.
To comply with Rugby Alberta guidelines every team MUST submit a team list by Monday April 16th to gain entry to the tournament. This list can be modified up to the day of the event, however all participants must have their registrations verified by the ARU before playing. Please note that 2011 player registrations with the ARU do not expire until April 30th, 2012 so if you registered last season, you are considered eligible for this year. Tournament headquarters will be the Athabasca Hotel. Extra t-shirts and other tournament merchandise can be purchased at the field. Teams should chec-in at the AthaB on Friday night to get their tournament draw and info package on Friday night at the AthaB. It couldn't hurt to have one or two to steady the nerves either.
